The speed of AI for producing ads and campaigns can make ones life as a marketer much easier, especially with a small or one person marketing team. Some may say AI for marketing is just too good to be true, and you all know what that means. In this Marketing Minute, we will highlight some concerns about relying too heavily on AI for your marketing efforts.
- Reality Check
Is the AI-generated marketing data accurate? AI exudes confidence, but without giving it a careful verification review, you could end up with inaccurate or inappropriate messaging that doesn’t align with your brand or mission statement.
- Lack of Originality
We need to be mindful of how AI gathers information when you direct it to create your marketing ads and campaigns. AI-generation gets its information from existing data, much or which comes from the internet. This can result in ads and campaigns that are okay, but don’t really stand out.
- Where’s the Human Touch
While AI has a knack for identifying patterns, that human feel can be lacking which can devalue your brand voice and tone. If you fail to provide you insight from a localized human perspective, AI-generated ads can feel generic, off-brand, and most important not a consistent portrayal of your identity.
AI should serve as a complement to, rather than a replacement for, your marketing ads and campaigns. By integrating AI with your market expertise, you can achieve greater efficiency while maintaining the all-important human touch.
