Innovative Systems Announces APMAX, an IMS Application Server

New hardware solution, APMAX is an IMS Application Server with optional IPTV middleware functionality.

September 27, 2006 - Innovative Systems, LLC, has announced APMAX, a next generation IMS Application Server that will provide the IOC market with improved wireline and wireless features along with an optional integrated IPTV middleware solution.

According to Roger Musick, CEO, Innovative Systems, the APMAX will revolutionize the tier 2 & 3 telecom industry with advanced TDM and IP telephony features as well as an option for blended IPTV – Internet – Telephony services. “We have been closely following the IP activity for the last 5 years and felt that it was time to offer our customers a hardware platform designed for today’s TDM networks, supporting sixteen (16) DS-1s & two (2) DS-3s and for the transition to IP networks, APMAX includes ten (10) 1Gb interfaces,” says Musick.

The Innovative Systems APMAX is expected to be ready for deployment in the first quarter of 2007 and will be initially deployed as part of the recently announced CS-1500 Nortel soft switch.
