Innovative Systems Announces Development of iPhone/iPod App for Voice Mail

MITCHELL, SD – In an effort to bring more value to a subscriber’s landline phone, Innovative Systems announces the development of an iPhone/iPod app for administration of Voice Mail.

According to Ryan Tupper, Innovative Systems Voice and Video Product Director, “With this simple app, users will be able to play, save or delete voicemail messages delivered to their landline or wireless phones from their IOS devices.”  Tupper adds, “It is ultimately our goal to promote tighter integration of a subscribers telephony devices using one Unified Messaging platform on the APMAX.” This new app will be available to the general pubic in 2012.

With voicemail, voicemail to email, voice to text, single number service, web portal administration and now IOS apps, a total Unified Messaging strategy can be presented to the subscriber by service providers who have an APMAX in their CO. According to Greg McCurry, Santel Communications Marketing Manager, “At our Coop, we are starting to see more of an interest in using the landline coupled with Unified Messaging as a gatekeeper for the customers’ wireless phones.”  McCurry adds, “As a city council member, I appreciate the Unified Messaging as a way to better protect my privacy when I am away from my home and find it much easier to manage messages by only giving out my landline number.”
