Heart of Iowa Takes Advantage of Integrated Services With APMAX Middleware

Union, IA – After looking at multiple middleware vendors, Heart of Iowa Communications Coop’s IT Network Manager Rich Trinkle confirmed that integrating their middleware with an existing hardware platform was the main differentiator for their decision to go with the Innovative Systems Middleware solution.  According to Trinkle, less hardware to manage in their network was something that none of the other providers could bring to the table.

For Heart of Iowa Communications Cooperative, speed and reliability were needed to satisfy their 2000+ IPTV video subscribers and according to Trinkle, choosing the IPTV middleware solution from Innovative Systems is accomplishing that objective. Trinkle adds, “With the initial rollout to customers we are receiving the feedback that we had hoped for. Customers enjoy having a program guide they are familiar with and the middleware from Innovative makes changing channels significantly faster.”

With their previous middleware provider, Heart of Iowa was reluctant to launch a DVR service due to its unreliability. Moving forward, this is a piece of the video business that Heart of Iowa looks to grow.
