20-30 year old generation confirms interests in the landline as a security device

At the TANE/NYSTA Issues Forum held earlier this month, a group of young adults in their early 20’s participated in a telecommunications usage focus group interview that covered a number of topics including landline usage.

While only one in the group actually had a landline in their home, they still thought that there may be some value in having a landline phone once they married and started having a family.  However after viewing the investigative news report, “Tracing a 911 Call from a Cell Phone”, that was featured in December’s APMAX Voice Connection  they were even more convinced that this aging telephony device will be a part of their household furniture.

One panelist said, ”I would definitely subscribe to this service if I have children”.  Another female panelist after watching the video stated, “A landline phone could be a potential lifesaver for any women living by themselves.”

Hold the phone, because this group of your future customers had more to say about voice services that will be covered in next month’s APMAX Voice Connection.
